Formentera overnighter 2.0
We enjoyed it so much the first time, we had to come back! This time we headed over to Formentera in early November.
The weather was definitely mixed. Saturday was a full exercise in dodging a storm, which led us to seek shelter and spontaneity (hence the unplanned trip to the tattooist!). But, as often happens on the island, the weather came through for us later in the afternoon, and Sunday was a stunner! Clear skies and sunshine saved the final moments of the trip.
Fonda Platé
We started the afternoon by seeking a hiding spot to escape the rain and wind. That spot was Fonda Plate in Formentera, where we enjoyed next-level tapas for lunch. The food there was truly exceptional, with quality produce as standard
A perfect example of quality Spanish ham, sliced thin, with a rich, melt-in-your-mouth flavor.
After finishing lunch, we headed straight to the hotel. The first priority was getting checked in and taking care of the bag drop.
Since the weather wasn't great, we decided to make the afternoon memorable by heading to El Faro Tattoo for a spontaneous walk-in session. It was a perfect way to capture the trip
Morning swims
Shaking off yesterdays wine haze with a dip in the sea. Even though it’s early November the water is still a good temperature.
We concluded the trip by finding a spot by the port in La Savina, where we ordered a drink and spent the final hours soaking up the last of the day’s sunlight. The air was cool, the water was calm, and as the sun dipped, we raised a glass to the trip
